Crooked Walk Scarf

SKU: 23P Categories: , Tags: , ,

A scarf with personality and style. Directions are given for knitting your scarf in a 4” or 7” width. Complete the ensemble with the Crooked Walk Hat, also available from Olio Knits. Talk about stylin!

  • Casting On
  • Knitting, purling
  • Changing colors (simple striping)
  • Binding Off
  • Videos are provided at olioknits for basic techniques as well as “how to” steps specific to this pattern

I used The Fibre Co.’s Road to China Light (65% baby alpaca, 10% cashmere, 15%silk) 159 yards/50 grams Sport Weight yarn

2 skeins of Main color (lapis) 1 skein of contrast (smoky quartz) This will be enough for either  scarf width you choose to knit.

  • Tape Measure
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Stitch Markers
  • Needles # 5 needle, 9 inch length would be more comfortable but 12 inch is fine

GAUGE 6 stitches = 4″ knit in Stockinette Stitch This pattern will “shrink” a bit when knit in the RIB and the STITCH PATTERN.  In other words, when knit in Stockinette Stitch on the same needle, your work will be wider than when knit in the rib or stitch pattern.
